MLS Wants a Showcase Game - Sounders FC Open Up the Season
2009 will start on March 19th in Qwest Field!
RedBull NewYork here at 6PM.
Jose Romero, you are my hero. At least for today.
Facing the team that finished #2 in the playoffs and from NYC is a great way for MLS to how good Sounders FC and the fans here in the Greater Puget Sound are.
MLS, welcome to our league.
Juan Pablo Angel I'm sorry that your Western Conference Title defense will start with a loss.
Sounders FC are prime time on ESPN2/desportes. This is our time.
In sports that day will be day one of the NCAA Men's Tournament, the NHL regular season, the NBA regular season and Spring Training.

It’ll be an interesting DP battle. JP Angel is one of maybe 2 or 3 DP’s who have worked out and if Freddie can stand up to him you guys should have something special!
Depending on what the Red Bulls do this off-season, this could be a gift of a first match for you. They really are not that great right now, and sneaking into the MLS Cup Final hasn’t convinced me they are top 2 in MLS.
I think that by the time March 19 rolls around there will be a lot of noise about how SSFC is already a great off-field success. That was the case for us when we started our first year with 16,000 season seats sold (this was our maximum).

This pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!! They’re just hoping that a big NYC audience will tune in to watch the new expansion team get wooped. I just wish we could throw Park at them!
2-1 Seattle. Freddy and Freddy.

sammy, what they are trying to do is show off a team that will sell over 20,000 seats.
RBNY doesn’t do that.
They are doing it because of you.
