Draft Update

I received an email and had a brief phone conversation this morning with my previous source.

He wanted to be clear that this projected top 5 is pending several deals likely going down and mentioned "wheeling and dealing."

Here's his top 5

1. O'Brien White, Connecticut, Forward
2. Sam Cronin, Wake Forest, Midfield
3. Michael Lahoud, Wake Forest, Midfield
4. Chris Pontius, California Santa Barbara, Forward
5. Stefan Frei, California, Keeper

Yes, there are teams that still think that highly of White.

His next five are in no particular order.

Ryan Maxwell, Tampa, Midfielder
Steve Zakuani, Generation Adidas, Forward/Mid
Evan Brown, Wake Forest, Defender
Lyle Adams, Wake Forest, Defender
Jeremy Hall, Generation Adidas, Midfielder

You will notice that he includes Zakuani as a Mid. My source says that he liked him better out wide or in the middle attacking the area with the ball at his feet.

Again this is pending deals and the specific team needs for the draft number as there are potential deals out there.

Lastly on he thought that local college product George John had a good combine, but reinjured himself.
