Its Called Football - MLS Season Preview

I'm not linking this because I was featured, it was going to be a part of my weekly listening and reading regardless, but I had the great opportunity to fill in with a brief (15 minutes or so) preview of Sounders FC. Duane is one of the top Canadian bloggers and is part of their hosting crew, while Ben and Ben aren't part of my regular loop yet.

The whole list of guests would be rather long, but MLS-Daily and 3rdDegree are also on the list. If you have an extra two hours give it a listen or a view.

ICF is a great show, and deserves to be part of your routine.

I wonder why they do this as a video show. It’s very odd watching the hosts stare blankly aboot while guests are talking. Seems like it would work better as an audio podcast.

Nice job with their questions, by the way. They seemed pretty unbiased. Glad they didn’t bag on the stadium.

One thing that I notice about the media not located in Seattle is that to a man, they all think Freddie Ljundberg is going to be a bust. From the announcers on ESPN2 during the Superdraft (I think it was Harkes and Lalas) to these guys and other articles that I have read, they all say he is either going to be injured the entire season or that he was only good at Arsenal because of the players around him and that he is playing out of position in Seattle.

What I am very encouraged about is that he is ahead of schedule regarding his rehabilitation. If he really didn’t want to come back and play, he would not have worked so hard to be in this position. He would have just mailed in his workouts and not have been ready until midseason.
