News from the North - Coachless in Toronto - Updated
Somewhat shocking news out of Toronto as the 7th place Reds have a coach resign/quit/fired/asked away. Toronto is entering the stretch that will make or break their season playing two extra matches in both May and June (Voyageurs Cup/Canadian Championship).
If you have the time watch Its Called Football to figure out the fallout. 9 to 10ish Pacific
Houston down third from the bottom in the early season has extended Dominic Kinnear.
ICF has said that Carver was sent away from the bench prior to the last match. The formation change to the 4-3-3 in the midweek match was due to the Asst.Coach Cummins taking over for that match. Also it seems that Cummins will leave for England if not made the Head Coach. This was my understanding from listening to the Saturday Its Called Football show.
One of Duane's writers now has news up on the subject, as we circularly link ;)

Very interesting. I wonder if this will positively affect TFC, as sometimes a shock will give the players a short term focus.
Regarding Carver, according to Ives, it is rumored that he will end up on Alan Shearer’s staff at Newcastle. Shearer has stated that he will only finish out this year. So, I wonder if Carver might be in line to take over once again at Newcastle?

I’d heard the same thing. Rumors are that Newcastle is for sale again, and that Shearer may be one of the prinicples. I would bet on Carver winding up back there if that is the case.
