Steps to winning a Cup

1 - Make the Final

2 - Win the Final

Sounders just completed that first step. Their next step is to win at Houston. They will do so without Jhon Kennedy Hurtado due to his double Yellow. The good news? That's one international unavailable. Does that mean that the Swede will take the pitch?

MLS 1.0 (pre-contraction) will meet the best of MLS 3.0 (DPs and rapid expansion). East Coast v West Coast, but today, MLS 2.0 fell to a team that had 3 USL players on the pitch when the tying and winning goals were scored.

Today, an Expansion Team advanced to a Final in year one. An expansion team in year one made it to the Cup Final. Chicago, you have company.

The Color is Rave Green, the direction is North and West, the Goal is the 2011 Club World Cup

Just a quick note, we beat Houston, so we will be playing the final in DC (the other Washington).
Great job tonight, and I can’t wait to win some silverware!

hey dave, say your Allaince bio. I was curious as to why you chose a Qatar club and player as your favorite? Not being judgemental, just curious.

Once upon a life I spoke Arabic for a living. In fact my first time watching a match live was in Kuwait for Kuwait v Saudi and Kuwait v Qatar during qualifying for World Cup 98.

I became somewhat fascinated with al-Sadd when Khalfan won the Asian Footballer of the Year at age 18.

But I don’t have a ton of attachments to non-Seattle soccer. I rooted for Newcastle when I lived in Newcastle, WA. I was a Fulham fan when they had soooo many of the US MNT on it. I followed Fiorentina when my brother lived out there.

I am a Sounder.

The goal is the 2011 Club World Cup. That’s what I’m talking about! This is the time to start the connection of us to the rest of the world. We need to take this to another level. I want us to run the table with the USOC, Supporters Shield and MLS Cup. Showing the rest of the MLS that they need to change their game to the true beautiful game. Not this kick and pull nonsense. Lets show them that you win by being aggressive toward goal, technical and playing nice one touch soccer. The rest of the teams are stuck in the past and we are the future! Go Sounders!
