*Supposed* New Kits - Leaked on FootballShirtCulture.com

Supposedly, the Sounders will be getting the Adidas TechFit kits beginning in 2011. According to this post on Football Shirt Culture, there will be a few changes. The "XBox 360" with change to "Xbox" only, in addition to the trim on the kits and the inclusion of the TechFIt pattern. Based on the picture, it looked as though the color was going to change. However, one commenter noted that the colors will not change - rave green and blue will still remain the team's colors. I'm not a large fan of the changes based off of this photo alone, but I'm reserving judgement until the final kit is released. What do you guys think?

They won't exactly

as whats in the pictures. Other MLS teams already have techfit jerseys and cross on the back isn’t going to be white. Its only white to show that its there.

The tech fit jerseys are only for players not for the fans.

that won’t exactly look as whats in picture.

Yeah, I think BigSoccer had a better picture of these.

The new trim seems unnecessary, and that back ‘X’ better be hard to see. Chicago and others have it, and it isn’t that noticeable, though it isn’t that great, aesthetically.

I heard teams that wear them score more hat tricks

and do less ball watching…. just saying what I heard.

Hideous

These almost look like rendered images rather than photos…I’m hoping they don’t look like this.

As long as the silver stripes aren't actually silver and they blend in well, I actually kinda like these.

I just hope that it contributes to them forever killing the electricity ones.

Those electricity kits are selling to well

they will live at least another year.

Well that and adidas releases MLS unis for a two year cycle

I don’t think they look too bad on a lot of the other MLS clubs, but they still bother me for some reason. They kind of remind me of Chelsea’s “bra” design from last season’s kits. I thought they were really noticeable on Germany’s kits from the WC this year though. I’m really hoping they won’t be over the top. I did notice that the current kits are on sale in the team shop, so we’re definitely getting new kits.

Best thing about getting new kits is that the old ones go on sale though…time to load up on some new gear!!!

The tech shirts seem to make more sense as a base layer...

…than for the actual jersey. Although with a tight-fitting jersey, it becomes more difficult for players to latch on to one other, which could be nice.

I didn’t know that our current kits could get that much worse?
Bra strap ftw.

Maybe its because that color green has always been my favorite color.

I had been wanting the Hawks to make a neon green jersey for forever and when the Sounders came out with the green kit it was the first thing that made me pay attention to the team.

I think this is much ado about nothing

These pics have been floating around for months and are obviously just cg mock-ups. Seems to me that designs get played with all the time…this one example just happened to leak. It doesn’t mean the FO is considering these.

That said, I dig ‘em. They could do without the backstraps, but even those aren’t bad imho. The Sounders are all about BOLD design and these certainly fit that ideal.

Looks like the 2 biggest differences,

aside from the sponsorship name update, is that the shoulder stripes aren’t white anymore, and the sides are a little less filled in, which makes the overall effect more of the main color with the secondary color a little less and more spread out.

I like them, I think that if these are used, they’ll look great.
