Sounders make Montano signing official
We can officially start talking about Miguel Montano as a potential answer when discussing the Sounders' options.
The 18-year-old Colombian striker's signing was finally made official today after he received his P-1 Visa and International Clearance.
Little is known about Montano, as he most recently played at the fifth tier of the Argentine developmental system. He did score 31 goals in 43 games over the past two years.
From a somewhat limited look, I can tell you that he has definite on-ball skills, has solid quickness and seems to have a nice shot. Whether those things are capable of translating to MLS at such a young age is a whole other issue.

I have learned one thing
Always Trust SIGI, the guy knows talent and how to get the best out of players. If he thinks it a good move to get him, you know he had a plan in place.
Pretty sure he's signed
That’s how I understand it anyway

loan deal?
i’m not sure how strong you think the 5th tier in Argentina is…. MLS nor the Sounders are going to borrow talent from that league. safe to say that if there’s talent there, it can be taken easily.
