The Seattle Sounders FC today was named the Professional Sports Team of the Year for 2009 at the annual Sports Business Awards program in New York.
Sounders are Sports Team of Year by Sports Business Journal
Tod Leiweke was nominated but failed to win the national Exec of the Year award.
Leiweke was also part of the NFL crew receiving the League of Year award .
