Game 10: Match Day Quick Reference Card

Photo

We're going with Osvaldo Alonso and Patrick Ianni in the midfield on the assumption that Alonso is fit enough to play. We're also expecting to see Sanna Nyassi back at right wing and Fredy Montero return to his starting spot up top. That leaves Brad Evans on the bench, partly because we think he still might be hurting a little from the collision with Carl Robinson last game. He should be healthy enough to come off the bench, though. Peter Vagenas appears too hurt to suit up.

On the bench, it was a tough call between Zach Scott and Roger Levesque, but we went with Levesque.

It also looks like the Sounders catch a little bit of a break with Ike Opara probably not starting. Of course, our information could be wrong, but we're told he'll likely be on the bench this week.

couldn’t you find someone else besides Marshall to put in there….

We really try to guess what Sigi will do

And with Parke not yet fully fit, and Ianni needed at CDM there isn’t any one likely to be a CB besides those two.

I would be more than ecstatic to see this starting XI.

I'm glad that this game will be on at the same time as UEFA

The UEFA Final is bollocks anyway. The UEFA Champion has lost to the South American champion more often than not. So why do people make a big deal out of the UEFA Final? Bollocks.

Just out of curiosity

I haven’t heard anything about Montano. After his strong performance vs LA, I would kind of expect him to be in the 18 at least this match, but I see you don’t have him listed. He isn’t injured anymore as far as I can tell. Anyone heard anything?

This is just our speculation

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him in the 18 over Levesque. It does speak to the depth the Sounders have, though.
