Knew it.
He had to have blown out his knee the way it went down. This is not good, although thank heavens we signed Parke.
thanks for the catch
and fixed now.

Not Surprised
Watching him try to pull himself off the field, it was clear to me that their was some sort of ligament damage, It looked as though he was pulling his leg wtih him but it was no longer responding to the rest of his body… I did however gain some hope when he was walking off the field, after that long time spent on the ground. Hopefully it is not a complete turn, and he recovers fully.
This sucks. I think Hurtado is hands down the most consistent player on the team.
Not sure anything worse could happen right now.
I'll have a more complete story soon, but in the meantime here's how it looks...
Sigi said they are hoping to get him back for the playoffs. They won’t know the extent of the injury until they do the operation and figure out what exactly happened. He is on crutches, but appears to be able to put some weight on his leg, which I suppose is a good sign.
Adrian Hanauer said the injury opens a roster slot — which presumably means an international slot as well — but that there’s no cap relief. He said it doesn’t really change anything in terms of acquiring new players that aren’t already in the organization, but that the team has been pursuing unspecified options even before the injury. That’s definitely open for interpretation, but it sounded like a trade is the most realistic way to acquire a new player.

Personal Anecdote Time
I had a partially torn ACL, MCL and Patella from a bad parachute landing. I never had surgery. I was running PT, still doing airborne operations, qualifying on fast ruck marches and even did a decent 5k time within several weeks.
I also didn’t play basketball afterwards.
