Steve Zakuani will have to bring his A-game today.

Dave will be on KJR radio previewing the game at 12:30 (listen here). Don't know if there are call-ins, but if you're going to the game you can drop by the studio which is right outside the stadium.

I'll be hosting the GameThread from home today.

Here's my scouting report.

Here's Dave's look at the Galaxy on the Double.

Judging from pictures I saw from yesterday's practice, Brad Evans was once again with the first time, along with Tyrone Marshall. I expect both to start.

Very quick three keys to the game:

1. Use the Arsenal products to create: As good as Steve Zakuani has been most of the season, I'd say he's still waiting for a breakout game. With the Galaxy defense probably a little gassed (or lacking frontline players), today could be the game a Sounder finally scores two in a game. Freddie Ljungberg has looked better than ever playing the CAM role and could find some space today. Their play will go a long way toward determining the Sounders' success.

2. Shots on goal, not shots: The Galaxy have been one of the best teams in the league at limiting on-frame opportunities. This is hardly surprising, but if the Sounders are to succeed they're going to have turn more of their opportunities into dangerous shots. Donovan Ricketts has yet to get a serious test this year, a fast start could serve as a shock to his system.

3. Defense must do more than just focus on Donovan and Buddle: As good as those guys have been, this is a talented team all over the field. Alan Gordon has been developing into a dangerous target forward, the midfield has legitimate playmakers like Juninho and Michael Stephens. Even AJ DeLaGarza has proved a dangerous player when he joins the attack.
