News from practice today

In case you missed my Tweets (@jeremiahoshan), it looks like Blaise Nkufo won't be joining the team until July 12 or 13 and probably won't play against DC United as originally expected. Instead, he could make his debut in the friendly against Celtic FC or at the latest at home against Colorado on July 25. Apparently, the Sounders are taking the attitude that they want him fully rested and for him to be able to get ample time with his family after what has already been a long season.

The other big news was that we now have a time table for Brad Evans' return. He had anthroscopic surgery on his knee -- an injury that has been repeatedly cropping up for some time, apparently -- and here's what Schmid had to say about his return:

"He’s making good progress. I think he is a little over a week out from surgery and we’re hoping that next week he is going to start to be able to be more active, start touching the ball and possibly by the 18th, for sure by the 25th [of July], there may be a chance."
