After Two Game Champions League Group C in Focus
After the first two rounds of the six match Group Stage the Sounders are officially in last. While not yet eliminated they now are almost certain to need at least one win on the road. Though two road draws and two home wins could do it too, though highly unlikely.
Here's the current table

Reapply first three criteria if two or more teams are still tied

It will be a tough road out of the Group Stage now, but let's remember where we thought the Sounders were at the 50% mark of their League Season.
Top Goal Scorers from the Group are;
Claudio Cardozo with 4 goals for Marathon so far (includes Prelims), he's tied for 2nd in the tourney.
Aldo de Nigris with 2 goals for Monterrey is the only other with more than a goal.

At this point
you have to think with so many big games coming up, Sigi will probably deprioritize the CCL matches in terms of lineups. It’s the smart thing to do at this point, IMO. We’re obviously very much alive in the USOC and have a good, but unsure, shot at the playoffs, so why jeopardize those for a competition the team is frankly unlikely to do well in anyway? With all the congestion, the staff needs to be realistic.

I think he gives the boys one more time...
I would hope that he gives the starters one more chance at winning the next game. Its a big challenge going down to Saprissa, but if we could come away with a win we could be right back in it. I still think that it is a possible throw up right now (except Monterrey is probably in it unless they just bomb the rest of their games) and we could get in with wins and other teams dropping.
After the next game if we still haven’t one than it is probably a good time to think about changing up our tactics and personnel.
I Agree
I say we give them one more chance. If we start 0-3 we are done. The way i see it we cant lose again in CCL. This will be hard enough, (thinking about monterrey in mexico). If we lose again then we need to just forget CCL this year and focus on playoffs/USOC. USOC is important so we can get back to CCL and have another try next year. I am however pleased at how we did against monterrey. They clearly were the better team but we held our own. Their first goal was good skill, but was also pretty lucky (that barley got inside the post). And Sanna is cursed. Ive decided that guy will never score. If he could finish he would be awesome (and as sigi said playing for someone else).
