T!mbers Sponsorship Deal
Add this to the growing list of reasons I am starting to hate Alaska Airlines...
From the AP
When the Portland Timbers join Major league Soccer next season, their jerseys will be sponsored by Alaska Airlines.
The Timbers announced the new title sponsor for their MLS kits on Thursday at Portland International Airport. Terms of the multiyear deal were not revealed.
The Alaska Airlines logo will be displayed prominently on the jerseys, much like the Seattle Sounders have "XBOX 360" on their kits.
The airline will also partner with the Timbers' community fund on youth-based fitness and educational initiatives, as well as donate 25 tickets to each game to area kids. The company will also be the presenting sponsor for all MLS Timbers youth soccer camps.

Considering that they are a Seattle based company yeah
That fact alone might enrage Portland fans, so in a roundabout way I’m in favor of it.
You will hear us.
We should trade them our thirds for their sponsorship.
This way we get richer and they look more like shit than they already do.
I love it
Seattle company props up the Timbers. I wonder how they’ll try to spin this?

Like I said on LL...
Congrats Portland, you picked up a kit sponsor that is the one thing that crashes more spectacularly than the XBox 360.

Won't this confuse
geographically challenged people?
Timbers fans?
I am not a Supporter | I am not a Fan | I am a Sounder

Yes. All Timbers fans,
and then a few other people.
