We'll have someone on the call

Nothing super newsworthy
“We hope to build on the success” blah, blah, blah. Typical introduction of high-ranking executive who won’t really be involved in on-field decisions.

And I believe you but I feel that Sounders earn enough
they should have a CEO of their own reporting into Vulcan, rather than lumped under the Seahawks

Right-o
Sounders already draw more fans over the course of a season than the Seahawks. Granted the revenue is less due to the lower ticket prices. But that’s more eyeballs for ads and stomachs for concessions.
You will hear us on Brougham, you will hear us on Occidental, you will hear us on King. We are all around you, there is no escape.
I did the math the other night
Using rough conservative estimates (15k each for the remaining CCL, 30k for the USOC, 40k for Chivas and assuming that we play one home playoff game) the Sounders are on pace to draw 840k fans this year. Minus baseball only the 79/80 Sonics drew more in Seattle sports history(890k). And that’s not counting the 9 thousand that have showed up at Starfire this year.
Seahawks
If they sell out 2 preseason games (they didn’t) and all 8 regular season, they would max out at about 670K. Using your numbers, that’s a difference of 170,000 fans. Probably not enough not make up the difference in ticket prices, but still significant.

They come close to selling out the preseason games every year since they jam them down the throat of STH (65.5k sold for each of this year's games)
And my number also included the possible addition of the maximum of two playoff games (135000 more fans) so in theory the numbers could come close but they would never reach the number that we put out this year.
I would be interested to see who profits more each year though. The Hawks get an absolute boatload of money from revenue sharing and the TV contract but their payroll is 20 times what the Sounders is.
You're right
comparing actual profit margin would be fascinating. I’m sure First and Goal would let us have a look right? HAHAHAHA!
