MLSsoccer.com: Sometimes with a knee injury, it takes a couple years to get back to full strength. Do you feel like your legs are under you and you have the quickness you had before the injury?
White: Yeah, definitely. My first year was just getting back. Last year, I felt OK, but this year I am getting back to [feeling like)]myself fully. That’s one of the reasons I came over [to Seattle] early, to get the training I am going to need to prepare for the season.

In camp early = good
2nd full year since a knee injury = good
Thinks he can add flank speed? Not so much

I hope that is true, as then he would be a steal of an acquisition
However, through the years, I have heard similar comments from players after a bad year, only for the player to still not be very good that coming season.
Things that you year are that they worked out harder than they have ever worked out before and are in the best shape of their lives. They had laser eye surgery, so now they can actually see the ball when up at the plate. They are healthy for the first time in years. This new team is a new start for them and the old team didn’t have players that were on the same page.
There are also many cases where the above does turn out to be true, but I am in a “When I see it, I will believe it” mode.
You forgot "I've learned a split-finger fastball"
Ha, ha. Seriously, I had the exact same thoughts as you. Keep working hard O’Brian, but we’ll chat again in say, June.
You will hear us on Brougham, you will hear us on Occidental, you will hear us on King. We are all around you, there is no escape.
That's right, learning a new pitch or a new grip is always a good one to hear
Oh, another one is that “I am going back to basics and that has helped me get back to where I was.”
TFC = Totocrap
In their brief existence, Totocrap FC have managed to get rid of Edson Buddle (zero goals for Totocrap), Jeff Cunningham (6 goals total in his time at Totocrap) and Conor Casey (who the freaking hell would let Conor Casey go? Retards, that’s who. Think about it – he’s Conor Freaking Casey). That’s just off the top of my mind. They’ll probably lose DeRo as well, the morons.
OBW is hugely, enormously, massively talented and is now playing on a proper soccer team instead of a cash cow for a bunch of lazy civil service union jerk-offs. He’ll do well in Seattle.
He'll do well in Seattle
…but probably on the development squad. I hope he proves all the naysayers wrong. But as a wise man once said, "When I see it, I will believe it".

Don't forget
Mo Johnston not only cast those guys off, he awarded DP contracts to total stiffs Julian De Guzman and Mista. I just can’t get tired beating this dead horse.
