MLS Draft: Meta-Mock

So many mocks out there, but here are only those from some of the major writers out there. Listed for your previewing are the two above, the predicted Sounders pick, and the two below that. Hopefully none of these names are new. Oh, and I've made some assumptions on our own Dizzo's work to make his targets into a pseudo mock for these purposes.

There's also the little wrinkle that is swirling out there about Seattle trying to move up at least to Ives on twitter.

Expect change. There will be at least one trade that shifts all of these Mocks like a BeastQuake.

Below the break the Mocks and who I would get in each.

Star-divide

Ives

Borg

Saghini

TMClark

Dizzo

Soares

Tetteh

Estupinan

Soares

Valentine

Salgado

Ababio

Keat

Tetteh

Salgado

Ampaipitakwong

Houapeu

Cardozo

Ampai

Tetteh

Nanchoff

Valentin

Grossman

Nanchoff

Anibaba

Tetteh

Soares

Boxall

Farfan

MacMath

Now, in each of these except Dizzo's I probably go in a different direction. For Ives I'd take Tetteh, for Borg I'd go with Valentin, for Saghini maybe even Gonchazo who isn't getting good marks, for TMClark maybe I'd stick.

There are other mocks out there. But I don't want to recycle other people's guesses based on "needs." The first four here have seen plenty of the players, and we know Dizzo took a deeper level of research than many.

Let's all remember that no mock had Seattle's 1st rounder last year, David Estrada.

This is a team that certainly works in its own realm.

Coaches do play possum, so you do not know how much truth there is right now when they speak

But, Sigi said in an interview that there are only 6-7 players that would be considered as sure things. I would think that after that, most players rankings would be interchangeable the next several picks.

So, unless the Sounders can move up into that 6-7 range with a trade, I do not think we will see them trading up.
