Ives Is saying it’s a groin injury.

If not for AJ Soares the Red team would be down several

He’s strong positionally and in the air. Classic MLS centerback.

At Half

Ampi seems to be playing way too cautiously. He isn’t grabbing the ball. Not giving himself space as a target for a pass. When he has had the ball in the center about 25 yards out he hasn’t placed a single pass forward. He’s a CAM, that’s unacceptable.

Brian Martinez has been very strong. Declaring himself by grabbing space to receive the ball and then doing special things with it.

Eddie I’m going to mangle the spelling, the right back for white has been very strong. He gets forward and serving well. He’s controlled the opposing left mid and limited those opportunities.

AJ Soares just looks great.

Third game

Soares looks great again. Very impressed. Tyler Lassiter also impressed. Ampi a bit of a disappointment. If we were to pick up Walker, I would feel bad for our defenders come practice time- with Nkufo, White, and him. Who wants to get mugged every day they show up to the practice pitch?

and Jaqua

Ianni’d probably like it though

Stupid things analysts say

Saying that they internationals are 18,19,20 so younger and more able to develop…

Umm, not really.

Amp get taken out?

I’m not seeing a 53 out there for red.

the point of this is not to win

but to show as many talents as possible.

Rooney's first time on ball

He faked a shot to beat the first defender, then used some nifty footwork to split two more and nearly got a great insertion pass off.

No one is really standing out

Except perhaps AJ Soares. Rooney is looking better than I expected. It’s really hard to tell who is who with the quality of the feed I’m getting.

As I write that…Rooney has a nice free kick.

I think if Seattle wants him it will have to be at 21

I don’t see him falling past that anymore

seriously

but good for him for impressing!

by Sandra_R on Jan 8, 2011 12:39 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah, the name aside, he’s really looking like a solid prospect.

by Dizzo on Jan 8, 2011 12:42 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah, I’m going to the Picasso exhibit with the SO this afternoon so I’ll miss most of it.

Oh, you were referring to that throw-ball game right? ;)

by Dizzo on Jan 8, 2011 12:49 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

In the first game I liked Eddie Ababio and Brayan Martinez.

In the second game I liked Bobby Warshaw, Victor Estupiñán and Jaoa Plata.

You missed the more entertaining game.

Seahawks

That’s like 8-10 CFL teams winning the Grey Cup. They’re just bad enough they have to reload with NFL cuts and since they haven’t played all year they’re not as banged up as the 15-3 Conference leader: the Seahawks have been saving themselves for the playoffs.

More reading

I would suppose that most of the sights regular visitors would like the work at on footy is doing with regard to the draft. Just some more interesting stuff to think about as the draft approaches.
