Nos Audietis, Episode 31: Mauro, Playoffs, & RSL

The news broke yesterday that Mauro Rosales has once again had a slight MCL injury caused by a hard tackle in the Sounders 3-1 win over Chivas USA. In this week's episode we talk about his injury and what implications that has for playoff games, especially the opening two-leg round with Real Salt Lake.
We also speak with Brian Dunseth who is the color commentator for Real Salt Lake and Fox Soccer. He answers some direct questions about Fox Soccer and their broadcast history, chimes in on the Coach of the Year, and he also tells us how great Sounders fans are (you know we like to hear how awesome we are, right?).
Finally, we discuss the expansion draft and who should be protected, and as always answer some of your questions! Don't forget to follow @NosAudietis on Twitter to get your questions answered on the show!
As a side note, after last week's problems with our hosting service we are testing out a new one. We're still working on getting it all set up, and right now we don't have an iTunes link but below you'll see a new player and if you are subscribed with RSS you will want update your feed with the link below. Let us know how it works for you!

The USOC and MLS seating policies don't "contradict" each other...
…there’s still incentive to be a STH if one game has the limitation. After the first game, it’s just a matter of degree. The fact that they didn’t go for the MAXIMUM effect of never expanding capacity doesn’t mean there’s no effect of capping it for the first playoff game.
i know you have to be nice to your guests
but brian dunseth saying that the reason people complain about fox soccer’s coverage of the concacaf champion’s league is because they’re forced to use concacaf’s feed was infuriating. the reason the coverage is horrible has nothing to do with production value. it’s entirely because the announcers are shockingly, disgracefully bad. it’s clear they’re totally unfamiliar with the teams involved; they don’t even bother to get to know the names of the players! it’s so disrespectful to the teams who have worked so hard to get to where they are and the teams’ supporters who are paying a subscription fee to get a channel that actually makes the feed they receive worse.
Well...
I think part of the reason CCL coverage sucks is the feed. But, yes, the bigger part is they have really bad annoucers.
