From the twitter of Arlo White, news comes that the Sounders have already sold well more than their normal allotment of tickets for the San Jose Earthquakes game. In fact, with about a week and a half until gameday, Kasey Keller's final regular season outing is reading out as by far the biggest crowd for a competitive Sounders match, with more than 55,000 scheduled to make it to Royal Brougham Park that Saturday night.
The game against the New York Red Bulls earlier this year set the previous competitive record at over 46,000, which says quite a bit about the draw Kasey Keller is and the problems with hosting big games on week nights.
But yeah, there's a week and a half left to grab more people for this match. Can we manage to force the front office to open the Hawks Nest again?
And beyond that, will the front office place attendance restrictions on the playoff games this year?
