I wonder if that team was LA, and they were going after Saunders or Ricketts?

Of course, it doesn’t appear that LA “need” somebody in a certain position.

what about NE

they could’ve been after Reis.

No way

NE has no capable backup. Shuttleworth is not MLS starting quality. And Reis, IMO isn’t fantastic either. LA have Ricketts and Saunders. Ricketts has a high price tag at 190k, maybe they’re looking to unload him?

I dont think its that far of a stretch

Yes I agree that both Ricketts or Saunders would be better fits but Reis was recruited by Sigi at UCLA and coached him in LA before he was shipped to NE. He also was a very good keeper for NE during their run in the 2000’s. He is a veteran with fringe national team experience that has been stuck behind a porous defense the last few years. This is a mute point though as most signs point to Gspurning will be tabbed to fill in the nets next year.

Seems mental to me

that LA would even think about trading one of their keepers to their closes rival in the same division

FRIMPONG ought always be written in full caps #DEEEEEEENCH

I think it's more likely that it was Stefan Frei in Toronto

Pretty good keeper who got screwed over by a terrible defense.
