In case you didn't already know, after Saturday's game against the Chicago Fire, the Sounders won't be back home at Qwest for a full 21 days. If you divide by the total number of days in a week, that's like, three weeks or something. Which is practically a month!
So, in order to cope, here are some public appearances by the Ravin' boys in Green in the next week or so, so that you may go see them, hug them, remind them how much you would like them to spank Portland, etc.
If you have to go in for repeat visits, just try to keep the stalking/heavy-mouth-breathing to a minimum. Those restraining orders can be pesky things, just ask Fredy.
Rookie midfielder Servando Carrasco will be at the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union inside the Safeway location in Federal Way Thursday from 5-6 pm signing autographs.
Defender Taylor Graham will kick off a monthly program at local elementary schools called Together We Play. He will be visiting students at Hazelwood Elementary School from 2:15-3:15 on Thursday.
Brad Evans, Leo Gonzalez and Steve Zakuani will be at the grand opening of the new Dick's Sporting Goods store at The Landing in Renton. The Soundwave Band will perform at 1:30 and the players will sign autographs from 2-3:30. Note the time change, as this event was originally scheduled to begin at 11 am.
Finally, on Tuesday, April 12, there are two things to mark on your calendar. First, Osvaldo Alonso and Fredy Montero will be at Museum Quality Framing in Bellevue from 5-6 pm. And rookie Michael Tetteh will be at the Qwest Field Pro Shop from 6-7 pm.
And just because I don't know when I'll ever be able to use this picture again, here is an action shot of a Sounder mid-stalking.
