Nos Audietis, The Sounder At Heart Podcast: Episode 8 - Featuring Drew Epperley Of Big D Soccer
It's a busy week in Sounders land with FC Dallas coming to town before the boys in rave green head off to Rio Tinto to face Real Salt Lake. Today's guest is Drew Epperley of WV Hooligan, SB Nation Soccer and (most applicable to today's episode) Big D Soccer, SB Nation's FC Dallas blog. Drew will talk about how FC Dallas has managed to keep rolling right along in the wake of losing reigning MLS MVP David Ferreria for at least the majority of the season and give some insight into what Dallas might be looking for out of this game.
Jeremiah and I chat about Saturday's last-minute win over Sporting Kansas City as well as the situation at forward, whether Qwest Field's turf is to blame for the Sounders' injury struggles and take a quick look ahead to the RSL game this weekend. We also take a bit of a detour from the Sounders and talk a bit about US National Team coach Bob Bradley's roster selection ahead of the Gold Cup.

Mine seems to be taking forever to load….Wondering if it’s just me…?
Might just be my computer
but mine still doesn’t want to load…I typically use Google Chrome, but tried it in IE too with no luck.
That's very odd.
Have you tried the direct link?

Work Computer
Must be that I’m on my work computer and some things are blocked. I attempted to go through podbean (which isn’t filtered on our network) and listen to it on your page there, but no luck. The download does show as filtered. Oh well, I guess I have to wait and listen to it before the game tonight when I get home.
One last ditch effort
Try to go the hard way and install iTunes on a locked down machine…doubt it’ll work but it’s worth a shot :).
I've noticed in iTunes
that the file size is 40-50% larger than other podcasts of comparable length, so the download times are pretty long. I’m far from an audio expert, but you might give some thought to down-sampling to a smaller file size.
You will hear us on Brougham, you will hear us on Occidental, you will hear us on King. We are all around you, there is no escape.
Darn it
Don’t download. Looks like an old version.

Consolation
We’ve only allowed 4 in our last 6, compared to 7 in our first 6. Zakuani’s injury happened on the first game of the 2nd 6.
On the turf issue
I think this was the article by Joshua Mayers that talked about the Seahawks and Sounders looking into grass.
Qwest’s turf was indeed downgraded to FIFA 1-star field status.
This year was the first year they tested it

Whoops, you're right.
Went off the podcast where downgraded status was mentioned.
I do believe that it was given a 3-Star rating to start however based on the surface itself.
I could well be wrong though.

isn't there only 1 and 2 star ratings for turf?

I suppose there are.
Well nevermind me then.

the only problem is that it would take 8 months to put in.
and qwest is used pretty much year round
4 Goals is...
A beaver trick. I haven’t heard anyone use the term on a few years though. Just this article:
