CONCACAF Champions League: Seattle Sounders Will Host Panama's San Francisco On Aug. 3
The Seattle Sounders will start their CONCACAF Champions League season at Panama's San Francisco on July 26 and host the return leg on Aug. 3. Tickets will for the home lege go on sale on July 6.
The winner of the two-legged aggregate goal series will then advance to the group stage of the tournament. They will enter Group D, which will also include reigning CCL champion Monterrey, Guatemalan side Comunicaciones and the winner of CS Herediano and Alpha United. A worst-case scenario for the Sounders could include Guayanan side Alpha United qualifying for the group stage, forcing a trip of almost 4,300 miles.
While it already seemed unlikely that any Sounders would be able to play in the MLS All-Star game, this essentially ends that possibility. The All-Star Game will be held on July 27. Last year, no Sounders were able to play in the All-Star Game for similar reasons.

All-star game
We play an all star game with every game we play !!! Go Sounders !
No Sounders in the All-Star Game:
Just the cost of competing for another major trophy. I’ll take that any day.
