Still many decent international players out of contract

A quick read of the Professional Football Association site (http://www.givemefootball.com/pfa-transfer-list) shows that there are plenty of forwards still available to us right now, e.g. Marcus Bent, James McFadden, and many others with EPL and Championship experience.   After thinking about it, if the FO is being shrewd (or plain cheap) they can wait until after the major European window closes on 8/31 (for UK, ESP, FRA, GER, ITA) and then try to negotiate with the best available forward, etc. by our 9/15 roster freeze. The FO would have the players over a barrel because they ain't playing in Europe until the next window, so its MLS, or another non-EU league, or nothing, i.e. no soccer paycheck for at least 4 months.
