Once again, it's time to reset your squads in the ESPN FC Manager USA game.
More matches means more points, right? Here's a breakdown of the teams by the number of matches they'll play in the upcoming segment. But don't go only by the number of matches a team has. A good player with 11 matches will get you more points over the course of the segment than a mediocre one with 13 matches. But if you're stuck between a couple players, this might be a useful tiebreaker. (I'm using the abbreviations for teams that ESPN uses, to avoid confusion.)
14 matches
RSL
DCU
CHI
POR
PHI
13 matches
KAN
12 matches
HOU
CLB
CHV
NWE
SAN
11 matches
SEA
DAL
NWY
VAN
LAG
10 matches
CLR
TOR
Here's a couple players on the cheap. Low risk, with potential for reward:
- GK Frank Rost, NWY, Cost: 5.2 He's the cheapest GK in the game, and he's a starter for the Red Bulls. Sounds like the perfect backup GK for your squad.
- M Sanna Nyassi, CLR, Cost: 5.0 With Conor Casey out for the year, the former Sounder has stepped into the striker role and scored 4 goals in 2 matches. At that cheap price, it's worth a shot to see if he'll keep that form.
And remember to use your subs -- two per week -- to bring in players with two matches per week.
