I'm curious to know what other people think about his future with the Sounders. I don't know how long his contract is or if MLS teams can cut a player, like an NFL toilet paper contract, so it's all purely hypothetical. It's an interesting question to me though. If you were the GM, and you could drop him at the end of the season, would you do it?

I think he's a good player but he's had injury problems his whole career. His base salary is an even $100,000, while his guaranteed compensation if $147,000. So far he's suffered a serious knee injury, and a recurring blood clot issue. I don't know if blood clots normally return or have recurring dangers, so he might be fine after this recovery process. But he does seem to be a player who has problems staying healthy. 

That said, he came out of the gate playing really well. When he plays its very obvious why Sigi likes the large/small forward pairing. Two goals in five matches is a decent return.

So what would you do if you were the boss? Drop him and free up the $100,000+ in cap space? Or keep him and hope for a better return next year?
