CONCACAF Group D Tickets On Sale

Previously it had been announced that the first home game would be August 16th (at a confirmed 7PM) against Communicaciones of Guatemala. The first away match was previously announced as at Monterrey on August 23rd but at 5 PM. That match is the chance at history, as American sides still have yet to win a competitive match in Mexico.

All Seattle Sounders home matches in the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League will be at 7 PM and tickets are now on sale. General Admission (great time to try this btw) are only 15$ (plus potential fees). With only a few categories all at lower costs the CCL is a great time to sit in other places and enjoy a different experience than you are used to enjoying at Century Link Field.

Star-divide

Opponent Qualifying PPM Venue Day Time
Communicaciones 1.52 Century Link 16-Aug 7:00 PM
Monterrey 1.71 Estadio Tecnologico 23-Aug 5:00 PM
Herediano 1.72 Estadio Eladio Rosabal Cordero 14-Sep TBA
Herediano 1.72 Century Link 20-Sep 7:00 PM
Communicaciones 1.52 Estadio Cementos Progreso 27-Sep TBA
Monterrey 1.71 Century Link 18-Oct 7:00 PM

Seattle's CCL success looks to be fairly well know by match day four with seven points seeming likely. The toughest home match of the Group Stage is the match six, and the Sounders may not need those points. If they do need them it will be could be a key game on the 2011 year. The crowd should be large, with more away support than any other competitive match on the year.

Ten in all matches would ensure they advance no matter any other results. Anything less than 10 total needs help from others in the Group.

I hope they open the rafters for the game against Monterrey

I’d love to see 30-40k Sounders fans outcheering the 20k or so Monterrey fans likely to show up.

why did they schedule the guatemala game on the tuesday and not a wednesday??

i wonder if we can the weekend game to the friday or saturday

or we might send like 18 to vancouver and the rest of the team will fly down to guatemala on saturday so at least some of the team is ready

The way Vancouver are playing

The Sounder might be able to get points with a mostly B-team.

Total disrespect for Cascadian tournament

If people are going to take this tournament more seriously, teams involved need to put forth a full effort to win it otherwise not participate at all.

Cascadia cup is way way way less important then the CCL

and its not a tournament its a cup. and i think most true fans will understand.

Was trying to be sarcastic.

You know, a team starts a B-team in USOC against an MLS team and they are made out as disrespecting the tournament. We have an excellent B-team so the joke is kind of lost. No one got it.

Pick your poison

The B-team will need to step up with so much fixture congestion. First, advancing in CCL is more important to me than the Cascadia Cup. Second, we’re in a good spot to win the Cascadia Cup regardless. Third, the Whitecaps under Tommy Sohen are so bad that I’ll still bet on a mostly Sounders B-team over the Whitecaps A-team.

Last Game

If we do need the points at match 6, hopefully Monterrey won’t and they send their B team. Could be a nice advantage playing them late. Saprissa beat Monterrey’s B team in CR last year which eliminated us. It would be nice to have it work in our favor this year. Or even better if the game decides who wins the group.

Ugh, I hate ticketmaster

Is everyone getting their tickets that way, or is my rep just that lazy?
