Why was Ochoa in Allocation?
I realize this is old news, but still on my mind: Why did Ochoa go through the Allocation process? My understanding was it's for national team players. Does that include youth teams (for which he played IIRC), or was it for a different reason?

This will be one of the great mysteries of 2011
Because a few other Youth National teams joined MLS in the past two years outside of the draft. When they did they went through Allocation Lottery, not ranking.
