Nos Audietis Episode 37: Is There A Draft In Here?

The snow is here and is there a better way to spend an hour or so of your snow day other than listening to Nos Audietis? We think not.
In this highly educational episode, Aaron teaches us about "Ragnarock", the Norse Apocalypse and how it applies and translates to our own "Snowgnarock".
This week we are very proud to have had Sounders GM and part owner, Adrian Hanauer on the show. Adrian is always great to talk to and staying true to his form he gives us lengthy and insightful answers to some of the most commonly asked questions. He has some interesting things to say about the drafts, colleges, and academies, and why they may not be such a bad thing. We are truly thankful for Adrian's time. He was very "graceful" to give it. He also shared with us that the new salary cap hit for Designated Players will be $350,000 this year.
We also talk about the super and supplemental drafts, new signings, and who of those signings might make the permanent roster.
And as always we answer some of your questions! To get your questions answered please make sure to follow @NosAudietis on Twitter and also, if you haven't already "Like" our Facebook Page!

So who are these people
that make up the “everyone else” that knows more about college players than you guys. You guys definitely have more opinions and info than most amateur MLS sports writers do.

There are maybe three or four writers out there I trust about college soccer
Travis Clark, Ives and a couple others whose names escape me.

Loved the rapid fire session with AH
The pace didn’t really change it was just Adrian allowing Jeremiah to ask more questions. Brilliant!
yeah, not so rapid fire...

The designated player information is something vital to a couple of teams.
Hurts the Red Bulls even more.

Do you think the Sounders buy down Flaco's salary?
His salary is 366.667$, just 16.667$ over salary cap. Would that be possible?

there's also his transfer fee
which was spread over the life of his contract.
