Nos Audietis Episode 36: Sounders So Far Enjoying The Silly Season

Happy New Year! We hope all of you had a great holiday season and are getting even more excited for the 2012 Sounders Season.
The "Silly Season" is now in full swing and the end of 2011 was just heating up with all kinds of rumors and new signings for the Sounders and we think that's just the beginning. In the next few weeks we have the Superdraft and the Florida combines to look forward to as well as potential other signings from around the world. Most importantly, it's just over 2 short months until the first official match of the year when the Sounders host Santos Laguna of the Mexican Primera División on March 7th to kick off the CONCACF Champions League quarter-finals.
This week we interview new Generation Adidas signing Kelyn Rowe. Sounders technical director Chris Henderson says, "Great player. Grew up here. Come on strong in last 18 months to year. He’ll be a guy who goes in top 5 spots in draft. At moment we’re outside of that."
Kelyn is a current member of the U-20 US Men's National team, and was 2010 Pac-10 Freshman of the year for his contribution to the success of the UCLA Bruins. A Washington native, he grew up in the same woods as Sounders midfielder Lamar Neagle (Federal Way) and he talks about his experiences abroad and his future in the MLS. You will not want to miss this interview.
More after the jump.

This week we are happy to have Matt Gaschk of SoundersFC.com as our guest co-host. He was kind enough to come on the show and lend his insight on the Sounders from his unique perspective. It was very nice having him and maybe with some extra encouragement we might convince him to be a semi-regular on the show :)
Unfortunately we ran a little long and didn't get to answer a lot of questions, but we did pry Aaron away from the Saturday matches long enough to make an appearance and answer a few.
Lastly, we want to thank all of our listeners for a great 2011. We are having record numbers of plays, it's all thanks to those that listen and share to others. We are very grateful for your support.

About my Reserve and Academy question
I asked about the Reserves to point out that people saying coverage of that is lacking at SSFC.com are missing that Gaschk is there.
I had to ask about Academy because Matt when he went last year was on the player side of the field and can blend into the coaching staff as he’s in official garb all the time.

Great interview with Kelyn Rowe!
Another solid podcast! Love the effort and the energy.
Any idea on how soon we can buy tickets for the Santos Laguna match? Or did I miss another email from Sounders?

The Reserve Game at Portland was fun
If only to see the ECS respond, point for point, to a drunken Timbers fan through chanting.
