Alot of what-ifs and almost moments in this Cascadia match between Seattle Sounders FC and Vancouver Whitecaps. In the first half, diamond versus diamond formation, the Sounders had many a chance but failed to capitalize. While this counter attack typified the lack of finishing for the evening, it is nevertheless so much fun to watch over and over. The play really starts when Brad Evans wins the ball it falls to Mauro Rosales. MDR then pushes the ball forward to Fredy Montero who had made a run back in support who then in turn hits Eddie Johnson in stride. EJ then deftly hits a diagonal pass back to Mauro who continues his run down the left. Rosales then serves in a perfectly weighted ball that a sliding B-Rad just misses. Watch it again and watch Evans as he goes from starting the play to almost finishing it off perfectly with really great run down the middle.
