Seattle heads to the Southland trying to earn three points and 3rd overall in MLS in their final regular season match. ESPN has Sunday's match at 6 PM Pacific.
In 2010 and 2011 the LA Galaxy were a team that dominated the Seattle Sounders. That is no longer true. This season the Sounders are 2-0-0 +6 GD against the SoCal side and due to scattered injuries and the result bearing no meaning for LA that should continue Sunday night in the 6 PM ESPN match.
The Galaxy's defensive structure is such that Eddie Johnson should have plenty of opportunities. Sigi Schmid's side will get a pre-playoffs test at defending the counter, as this is LA's most common method of attack. There's also the little matter of David Beckham, who can still change games with a single touch.
It may be the least important match of the last month and certainly of the next month, but it there are still three points for the taking.
