Wednesday is friendly day and for Honduras that means a match in Houston against Peru. Mario Martinez will join his senior national team again.
FIFA regulations require a club to release a called player and so Mario Martinez will not be training with the Seattle Sounders FC while he is with Honduras. The match is on November 14th and he will return to Seattle on Thursday after the match. If Martinez appears it will be his 22nd cap with the the senior team. He also took part in two Olympics with Honduras.
The young forward has only one goal in MLS play, but that was also the goal that pushed the Sounders to the Western Conference Finals for the first time.
Against the LA Galaxy in the first leg of the Conference Finals he was the most active player per the Opta Chalkboards playing mainly as a right sided midfielder, but also interchanging as he does with his national team. He will be available for selection in Leg Two on Sunday the 18th at CenturyLink Field.
