Michael Gspurning and Brad Evans both made impressive setups against Portland, and earn mention among the best of the season.
Thierry Henry's back-heeled assist to Mehdi Ballouchy was deemed the "Best Assist of 2012" by the folks at MLSsoccer.com, but the accompanying video suggests two Seattle Sounders were among those considered. One was Michael Gspurning's alert longball to Fredy Montero that set up what was then the go-ahead goal at Portland. The other, also against the Timbers, was Brad Evans' feed to Eddie Johnson. Hilariously, there were plenty of people suggesting Evans' ball was simple and barely even wanted to give him credit. Obviously, the people at MLSsoccer.com saw it differently.
