Fucito may have a slight headstart with the beginnings of a cult following in Seattle. But he's no regular just yet and he has the chance to make the forward spot permanent if he can stay injury-free this year.
And if the goals can follow, #LinSanity may have to make way for a dusting-off of #LikeMike
Who's most likely to be the MLS Jeremy Lin? | MLSsoccer.com
Come on MLS, there's already a hashtag, you don't need a new one #ChurchOfFucito. Learn it and love it, and please be right about Fucito being the next Lin.

You'd almost think
Borg got it wrong on purpose, to generate controversy. But he’d never do something like that, would he..?

Not exactly a like for like comparison
They’re both Haaavard boys but they even if Fucito bursts onto the scene it’s not like he fills the “cast off” role that’s prominent in this whole #Linsanity thing.
But good for both of them, barging through that Ivy League glass ceiling.
Go banana!
If I have to listen to much more Linsanity,
I Lintend to Linjure the nearest sports caster.

I'm a big Fucito fan
Glad to hear others are big on him as well, we definitely got lucky to keep him in the expansion draft. I think he’s capable of big things, he just appeared unlucky to not have more goals in MLS play. He definitely created goals that were never credited to him though.
I threw in the right hash tag
in my comment on that story. I agree with some of thr other posters there that Lamar Neagle is probably a better analogue to Jeremy Lin.
I'm inclined to agree with you on the Neagle point
Mostly because even considering the words “Simon Borg got this one spot on” will cause Ragnarok.
might be a year late
