Looks like Burch may have an early advantage over Leo
Maybe the biggest surprise of camp so far? Fucito getting time with the first team over Ochoa probably isn’t too surprising, though it is noteworthy. Estrada at forward might also be worth keeping track of.
Estrada has played everywhere

He really does sound like the second coming of the ForMidFender
I’m much more positive about him in this role.
Great article
Really good news to hear that Zak is recovering a little of that flash and creativity.
He didn't mention everyone playing in the reserve match-up
My guess he was there, but didn’t standout to the author.
Not sure.. per Sounders website, the 2 teams were as follows...
One team was Bryan Meredith, Wes Feighner, Andrew Duran, Andy Rose, Leo Gonzalez, Roger Levesque, Servando Carrasco, Mike Seamon, Steve Zakuani, Babayele Sodade, David Estrada.
The other team was Andrew Weber, Zach Scott, Tim Pontius, Harlinton Gutierres, Ever Alvarado, Andrew Vanzie, Cordell Cato, Amadou Sanyang, Alex Caskey, Jason Banton, Sammy Ochoa.
Definitely interesting..

Fitness Work
Sigi said the 3rd group was doing fitness and getting to know each other so it included all the new guys. 39 in the mix (3 in Seattle – white, tetteh, ford), 22 played so side training group was – gspurn, burch, hurtado, parke, ianni, Johannson, Evans, Alonso, mauro, flaco, beagle, sivabaek, montero, fucito.
Hey made the trip with the team
He’s in some of the recent pics the team posted on the website, whether he’s injured or not is the serious question. He didnt play in the 11v11 game, possibly because Zakuani wanted to go the full 40 mins? That’s what I’m hoping anyway.
Go banana!
Before we get too wound up...
Let’s take a second to look at all the players who didn’t feature in this game … basically all the projected starters.
