The current EAS FC challenge in FIFA 12 has players taking over the entire Sounders squad against Chelsea. You start the game on a Sounders corner down 4-2 at the 53rd minute. You are tasked with simply winning the game.

Every couple days, Electronic Arts puts up a new EAS FC Challenge for players to take on. They are based on real world scenarios and players, the world over, can choose to tackle them at various difficulty levels for increasing rewards.

The current challenge is taken from this week's friendly and features players taking over the rave green. Though the picture shown at the introduction screen is Ozzie tackling Essien in Super Cyan, the challenge is presented in rave green as our third kit is not included in the game.

I was impressed that they had the personnel right. Josh Ford properly in goal, etc. I also found my virtual Zach Scott (still presented with long hair) had as much trouble with their speedy right wings as the real one did. Of note for me was Johansson was not in the 18 (and Seamon was?) so I was pretty much stuck with virtual Zach Scott.

Accessing the feature is as simple as hitting pause and they hitting the blue x button (pink square on playstation) then cycle through to the challenge. It will be up for another day or so.

It's pretty cool that thousands of FIFA players all around the world are getting a taste of Fredy and Mauro and Co. Century Link Field is not in the game, but they have a generic one that is pretty close.

Here's a video of a guy in France taking a crack at it. Fortunately, he has the English language announcers turned on (who seem to know a few more Chelsea players by name for some reason.)
