Alvaro Fernandez put his head to a pinpoint corner kick from Mauro Rosales for the first goal of the evening, making it 1-0 over the Colorado Rapids. El Flaco ran off directly towards Fredy Montero, who had his arms out waiting for at least an embrace from The Skinny One. He and the other Seattle Sounders FC players warming up got a little more than that. It is probably an understatement that Fernandez was very excited after netting his first goal this season.
