Zach Scott: man marker. The never-ending engine, the ageless wonder, the warrior. And now, scorer of goals. We saw earlier this season what happens when #ZSMM gets a clean head on the ball - he creates sweet boom boom into the net. In the US Open Cup Final, Scott, one of the Seattle Sounders FC elder statesmen was not having the greatest match by a far margin. In fact, he was the center of attention after a somewhat seemingly controversial handball call that led to Sporting Kansas City's PK goal. After Kai Kamara converted the spot kick, things didn't look good for the boys in Shale. Zach Scott, the yeoman's yeoman, would almost immediately remedy the situation with a beautiful header from a Mauro Rosales free kick service. Showing his true Sounders heart, Zach immediately sprinted over to the away supporters section to celebrate with the traveling faithful. The day was not to be ours but at least there was a bright spot to had. Zach Scott, forever Sounder.
