EJ has been playing on 4 Yellow Cards (actually five but one was taken away after three games in a row without one) for a while. It is probably unlikely that he will go the rest of the season without picking up another and when he does, he will have to sit out a game. So, my question is, is there a time that he should intentionally pick up that card so that he does not unintentionally miss a big game?
Looking at the schedule, it seems like home game vs. Chivas on 9/8 would be the best one for him to sit out. On the other hand, he is clearly a GAM and can avoid picking up silly cards so may be able to go the rest of the season without picking up the next one. EJ's last Yellow came against Colorado six games ago. Any thoughts? Does anybody know if the Yellow Card count resets at the start of the playoffs?
