This link goes to video of the shootout. Watch it if you can. It is amazing how identical Gspurning's save is to Nielsen's save of Tiffert's PK just one kick earlier. There doesn't appear to be any difference at all. Both were off their line slightly - not enough to call either way. However, if you are going to call it you have to be consistent. Looks like SKC's politicking of the referee paid off. Everyone has bad days. It's just too bad that Salazar's bad day came at the expense of the Sounders. I just wonder if Salazar will ever have to answer the question...what was the difference between these two PK's that made you call the one and not the other? Probably not.
