Danish Winger on trial with Sounders

ESPN & a danish website have announced that 23 yr old winger Philip Lund is going on trial with the Sounders. He seems like a talented winger, but is coming off of an injury that kept him without a club for the last 6 months. Below is the link to the Danish website & the google translated version of it. http://www.bold.dk/nyt/MLS-klub-tager-dansker-med-paa-camp The Danish offensive player Philip Lund has impressed in God's own country, and has now been invited to training camp with the Seattle Sounders. 23-year-old Philip Lund has been out of the picture in Danish football in the last six months, but the rapid wing working on a remarkable comeback. Thus, after a strong effort in a scouting combine (Slideshow tournament) in Florida was incorporated in bruttotruppen at large club Seattle Sounders. - I have not had any club in the past six months because of an injury, and when I met up with combinen, it was the first time I touched a ball again. But it went really well, and I was selected for the final match of the tournament, where we met with the U.S. U17 national team, says Lund to bold.dk. - I got no contract there, but the coach of the team has sent a recommendation on to Seattle, which has invited me to their preseason-camp. I'm meeting on Monday, and then it's just up to me to show that I am good enough for a contract. The U.S. recruitment system is somewhat different than we are used to in Europe. The clubs will start early in the year to pull a ton of players in, to thoroughly weed until they are down to the allowed number. Therefore, there is no expiration date on Lund's stay in Seattle. - It starts on 20 and so it goes on as long as they want me. Either it becomes a contract, or they leave me go. But it is also fine with me, since it's a challenge I like to take up, says Lund, who is on a short visit home in Denmark. The former Vejle and Kolding FC player helped last season FC Fyn up in the first division, but as written has not been in battle this season.
