Mario Martinez's Probability of Adjustment and Integration?

Martinez has shown his skill and talents in multiple games with Honduras and a few with the Sounders. I have no doubt that he is the type of player that can change a game and shift momentum but I still question the cross-over from his previous Honduran club and international play.

Sure, it's amazing to get called up and have the chance to play so often for your country, but I'm starting to question if his frequent absences from the Sounders may actually hurt his ability to integrate and adjust to football in MLS. If Sigi ends up relying heavily upon Mario and he ends up choosing international matches over important club games the team will have significant issues in the future.

I wonder if Martinez treats this loan as something temporary and short term and is unwilling to put the effort in required to win a championship. My whole point through all of this is that I hope Mario takes his role and responsibility with the Sounders very seriously and understands the objective for this upcoming season. Sounders will always be more important than Honduras for the fans, staff and players.
