Sounders v Timbers - MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals

The nation's most storied soccer rivalry enters the second season with Seattle hosting leg one and just five days later Portland has leg two. NBC Sports is carrying the 2nd leg at 8 PM with Arlo White on the call. The Timbers hold a one goal lead with 90 minutes left to play. The winner on aggregate score gets not just advance to the Conference Final. If the score is tied on aggregate at the end of the regulation 180 two 15 minute periods of Extra Time will be added. If still tied kicks will be taken from the spot. Prepare. Support. React. Again.

Michael Orr provided some insight for match two between the Cascadian sides and the change to the diamond helps with some of the things he mentions. "It’s the unfortunate reality of a two professional-team stadium with the timing. Oshan wrote this at MLSSoccer.com It's all true. It is disappointing and sadly inevitable. It could have been avoided by merely earning two more points in the regular season. But there will be tens of thousands more at this game than any non-Sounders Playoff game. That's kind of cool.
