Saw the post on mlssoccer.com yesterday. Although I can't read Spanish I wonder if any of it holds true. Who knows exactly how much he wants in terms of salary. Are the Sounders willing or even able to pay that kind of money right now? He would most definitely be under a DP contract if he came here but as others have stated before the Sounders barely have enough cap room to fit in a youth DP let alone a player of that caliber.
