There are times when you're particularly proud of the team you support. This was one of those times.
There was no shortage of people voicing support for Robbie Rogers' decision to come out of the closet today. But it was especially nice to see so many prominent Seattle Sounders among them.
The most eloquent of them was, unsurprisingly, Brad Evans, who was one of Rogers' best friends in soccer. In this interview with MLSsoccer.com, you can see how happy he is for his former teammate. But there were plenty other Sounders who seemed also as happy for Rogers.
I hope that one day there are no announcements necessary anymore and homosexuality is accepted in sports and everywhere else #respect

The bravery of Robbie Rogers in commendable, I hope he realizes that he doesn't need to retire. He will be more supported than he knows.
