Andrew Weber's future with the Seattle Sounders is very much unclear. With his loan due to end soon and Michael Gspurning on the mend, he might not even play another game in rave green. After picking up his first career MLS victory on Saturday, he also deserves to leave here with a Save of the Week.
Weber has been nominated for the second time in three weeks, this time for his leaping effort to turn away Erick "Cubo" Torres' volley attempt in the first half. The goal would have given Chivas USA a 2-1 lead, but instead Weber got just enough of it to knock it off the crossbar and out of bounds.
Like DeAndre Yedlin a week ago, Weber is trying to become the first Sounder to win Save of the Week this season. In fact, it may not have been since 2011 that a Sounders player has won. "We never condone" the stuffing of ballot boxes, but this is actually quite deserving. Vote here.
