Given that the Sounders control their own destiny from this point forward, and a win against the Timbers would make quite a statement, I am predicting a win for Sounders tomorrow. With all the cross-town smack and banter flying up and down I-5 this week it seems like a simple assessment of the opinions would be in order.
With a near-record home crowd, Dempsey's home debut, the traditional seasonal start to the Sigi Surge, the multi-headed offensive machine and the best defensive midfielder in the league, a city absolutely behind their team, well, the list just goes on, and on, and on. Sure seems like the Sounders are the favorites, but it's hard to really tell. Of course there all the other advantages Seattle has as pointed out earlier this week. It's a major-league town with major-league support. Seattle also has . . .
Oh, but enough about Seattle, let's talk about Portland. So Portland, what do you think about the Sounders chances tomorrow?
