OFF - ECS and Redhook launch No Equal Blonde Ale

Dave Clark

No Equal Amber Lager makes way for No Equal Blonde Ale that and what would the best aliens/fantasy creatures at playing soccer in this week's OFF topic post.

The Emerald City Supporters and RedHook launched their latest version of their partner beer at a party last night. Unlike No Equal Amber Lager the new Blonde Ale is not just available in 22 ounce bottles and via keg, but is also going to be in 6 and 12 pack bottles.

Blonde Ale is brewed with two varieties of northwest hops and is mild and approachable. Though at 52 IBU the flavors are subtle with lightly balanced malt and yeast tones. It is a "session" beer, but comes in at just over 5% ABV.

I guess that's PNW session levels...

Do you have a favorite soccer themed beer?

Gasman was at the event as well and a few people picked up his book, but mostly people just yapped at him about soccer.

New Zealand's Prime Minister denies that he is an alien lizard person trying to take over the world.

Would lizard people be good at soccer? Kobalds seems a bit short. Ogres are too slow, so are dwarves. Klingons would tackle well, but probably forfeit matches due to red cards. The Formics would be great tactically, but couldn't respond to innovation in tactics quickly.

The best soccer aliens or fantasy peoples are probably going to be elves, because it's always elves.
